Wolfgang Schubert, Cadillac Europe manager Said: It ‘s so that by 2012 the V6 engine of the CTS has been made more powerful, the carrorrezia lightened, the redesigned front and added a new Touring Edition in sedan, coupe and station wagon. “The changes in model year 2012 give more freshness to the important front grille of the CTS and improve driving performance without sacrificing fuel economy,” says Schubert. For a more three dimensional look and a more refined the characteristic front grille to shield the CTS has been redesigned. New finishes which highlight the complexity and color of the logo “Wreath & Crest” were made more brilliant to add more focus on the link that has been brought more to the wire frame. These changes will be present on all three versions of the CTS – Sport Sedan, Sport Wagon and Coupe.
The new 3.6 V6 has been made more lightweight to ensure greater equality of power consumption. The integration of the cylinder head, exhaust manifold saved about 6 kg per engine than the current engine heads and manifolds, and now the figures speak for 322 hp (237 kW) and 372 Nm of torque, compared to 311 hp (229 kW) and 370 Nm of torque of the motor. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions expected the same level and will be announced at a later time. Meanwhile, we know that the new composite intake manifold weighs about 2.5 kg less than the current aluminum element and the front cover and the new lighter structural ties bring total savings of 9.3 kg in weight. The CTS MY 2012 will produce this summer and the first deliveries have already been scheduled next autumn. Prices will be announced near the start of production.
